Human Services advocates met with the Editorial Board of the Chicago Tribune yesterday. We discussed the impact the "doomsday" budget would have on human services and it was not a pretty picture! It was an excellent exchange between the board and advocates. We met for over an hour!

I was in Watseka this morning meeting with Christine McTaggart. Christine is the new Executive Director of The Arc of Iroquois County! Tomorrow I head to the Capitol. This week the Senate and the House will hold hearings on the Department of Human Services budget. I have attached my testimony for the Senate Appropriations I Committee which will be held Tuesday, April 28th at 4:00 p.m., Room 212 in the Capitol . . .
