Leaders in The Arc:

At The Arc Board of Directors meeting today, there was a lot of discussion about the continued delays in the issuance of our contracts from the Dept. of Human Services.

As a result, I made some calls to see if anything had changed since when I had talked to Secretary Saddler last week. The Secretary is well aware of your concerns. After talking to a few individuals, here is what I found out.

Very soon you will get an email from DHS that will provide links to your blank contracts and grant agreements. Some of the language to these templates has changed so you need to make yourself familiar with those changes before you get the actual award amounts.

Then, sometime around June 29 & 30^th, you will get information on your rates and grant amounts. It is extremely important that you return those contracts as soon as possible so the Department can begin the payment process. Make sure you have your contract and other DHS identifying numbers so you can access this important and new information.

Late last week, I was invited by the Secretary to meet with her on June 29^th to discuss the budget.
