Back to Chicago today for more on the 1115 Waiver, this time, the Service Definitions
Group where we will discuss how the services within the nine waiver can be regrouped
or consolidated. This should be an interesting discussion. I am still having problems
about how all of this is going to come together with numerous work groups and over
900 participants, control and influence is problematic to say the least. What I do know
is that the Governor’s Office of Health Innovation and Transformationn (GOHIT) will
be the lead for the 1115 Waiver implementation.
I must say that I am impressed about the amount of work the staff are putting in and
getting us the materials and presentations before these meetings is to be
commended.
The Governor’s staff continues to meet with the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid
(CMS) every other week to discuss the 1115 Waiver Proposal.
Enjoy your Labor Day Holiday!
