I have had quite a good week at The Arc. On Monday, I met again with Lore Baker,
Statewide Housing Coordinator for Long Term Care Reform, Office of the Governor,
to discuss supportive living options and the needs of individuals with intellectual
and developmental disabilities (IDD). We had a great session and continue to share
thoughts and ideas. You should look into the possibility of supportive living options.
Lore and her team are looking at new models for people with IDD.
Wednesday, The Arc Team met at our Frankfort offices to update our websites and
the way we communicate. It was a fantastic day! The Arc has so many talented people
and programs designed to assist individuals with disabilities, families and providers.

Another important aspect of the proposed 1115 are the service definitions. The Arc
has advocated for more flexible definitions for employment and community living
options. There is a work group that is now reviewing service definitions within the
1115 waiver see details below.
