Help People in Your Community Exercise Their Right to Vote

Join The Arc for a FREE webinar designed to give you the information you need to help support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and others as they exercise their right to vote in the 2012 elections. Did you know that in 2008, only 46% of people with I/DD who were eligible to vote actually did so? That’s compared to 64% of people without a disability!
The Arc is rolling out efforts to support advocates to register to vote, educate themselves and candidates running for office about the issues important to people with I/DD and their families, and turnout at the polls in record numbers. Find out more about The Arc’s “We’ve Got the Power” campaign from Dee Dee Eberle, The Arc’s Director of Chapter Organizing and Advocacy. Hear about how YOU can be more engaged this election season to make an impact in your community in 2012 and beyond!
