Arc and Call for Presentations

This year’s theme, “Living With Purpose, Passion and Possibilities”, will provide attendees with the latest information on many issues, including early childhood, transition from high school, employment, housing and improving the quality of life in the community. We will focus on how we can rise above the many challenges we are faced with today and empowering individuals to live a passionate life with purpose and possibilities. In the field of Human Services, we have the opportunity to empower so many people, with supports, to live a full life with purpose and passion and help people achieve their own possibilities! This convention will be inspirational as well as very informative with the latest information on many topics relevant to a person’s life. Please submit a proposal to be a part of this exciting event! Participants will be a mixture of self-advocates, families, direct care staff, educators, managers and other professionals in the field of intellectual and developmental disabilities. Therefore, proposals on any topic of interest to any of the groups represented are welcome, particularly a new approach or idea. Topics of special interest include, but are not limited to, the following:
Aging, Choice and Inclusion, Community Integration, Diversity, Dual Diagnosis, Early Childhood, Employment First, Management Best Practices, Self Determination and Individual Advocacy, Siblings, Supported Living, Team Building, Training for Direct Care, and Transitions from High School to Community.
