Ray Janutis is retiring from Envision in Chicago. Ray we wish you nothing but
the best in your retirement.
Tony
Witt/Kieffer is proud to partner with Envision Unlimited, an organization that has
dedicated more than 50 years in Chicago helping people with intellectual and
developmental disabilities across all ages, abilities and backgrounds through
programs and services that promote choice, independence and community
integration.
With the upcoming retirement of their CEO, Envision has launched a national
search to find an exceptional CEO who can continue their long history of
financial stability, strategically position the organization to respond to changing
industry dynamics and competitive funding, while creating the visibility in the
community and enthusiasm among the staff to continue to deliver the highest
quality of care. Envision provides individualized approaches that offer hope and
facilitate attainable opportunities through leading accredited programs. Over
1,200 individuals benefit from Envision’s programs and services, with ninety-two
percent of the families they support at the poverty level or below.
The new Envision CEO will proactively identify areas where s/he can drive
change and deliver positive outcomes. The CEO must seek and be open to
ways to excite and reenergize philanthropists and other potential funders by
giving them novel, innovative vehicles and approaches. An immediate
responsibility will be the development of a strategic plan that guides Envision
in terms of its mission, its fully articulated and united strategy and its definition
of what success looks like for the organization over the next three to five years.
A key outcome of this effort will be the creation of a disciplined, proactive
brand-building strategy designed to elevate the awareness and attractiveness
of the organization toward funders and communities.
Other responsibilities will include identifying organizations that can enhance
the growth of Envision through mergers, acquisitions, or partnerships, with
close attention that the mission and quality of work of these potential
organizations aligns with the mission and culture of Envision. The CEO will
seek innovative ideas for new models of service delivery, become the face for
the organization in the community and serves as an ambassador to the
development efforts by becoming a public profile, thereby increasing Envision’s
awareness in Chicago.
As we identify talented individuals for Envision, qualities and experiences
should include:
A committed sense of mission necessary to extend and expand the impact of
Envision in Chicago.
10 to 15 years of experience in an executive leadership role at a medium to
large, multi-faceted organization, with proven experience as a leader/influencer
of a successful, major change initiative.
The flexibility and responsiveness to adapt to the changes and challenges,
continuing the unwavering focus on those being served and positioning
Envision to face the challenges that lie ahead.
