COGFA Votes to Support Murray

The Commission on Government Forecasting and Accountability voted today on the closure of the Murray Developmental Center in Centralia. The COGFA vote 7-3  not supporting the closure of Murray.
 
Rep Nekritz made a strong case for rebalancing the system and supporting people on the waiting list. Senator Schonberger stated that the Administration has come forward with a very detailed plan for rebalancing. Opponents continue to say there is not a comprehensive plan and not everyone can live in the community.
 
The Arc supports this closure. Here is how members of COGFA voted today. COGFA is advisory to the Governor. A yes vote is for closure.
