These sessions focus on families learning about service and housing options and creating
the political push in their local communities to demand and create new housing options in
their local community. The hope of these workshops is to ensuring that people with
developmental disabilities have the option of living in their community in regular housing
with whom they choose, and that required support services are available as needed.
Topics covered include: public private partnerships, public financing, developing a vision
for housing, building partnerships, and advocacy.
