New Webpage for Competitive ISC Contracts
As reported in our most recent DDD Scoop, on September 1, 2016, the Division of Developmental Disabilities met with representatives from the 17 Independent Service Coordination (ISC) agencies and informed them of the Division’s intent to seek competitive proposals for future ISC contracts. The Division believes this action is in the best interests of the State and the individuals served, especially in light of evolving expectations from the federal Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services’ (CMS) regulations, as well as renewals of the Division’s Medicaid Waivers.
The Division has created a webpage for the development and status of this competitive bid activity. It is located at: http://www.dhs.state.il.us/page.aspx?item=87629.
Among our first steps is to seek stakeholder input to the development of the NOFO before making final decisions on key issues. We have been advised by Legal Counsel, however, that it is best to conduct this exchange of ideas in a public manner so that all potential vendors and stakeholders can have the same information. If you have thoughts you would like to share about the issues identified on the webpage or if you wish to identify additional issues, please submit your comments to Debbi Garrett-Smith at Debbi.Garrett-Smith@illinois.gov. We will continually update this webpage to inform all stakeholders-including potential vendors-as we work through this initiative.
