Executive Staff Position at Ray Graham Association
Ray Graham Association is seeking an experienced professional to join our
executive team with primary responsibility for providing leadership, vision
and team-building to the Iona Glos Specialized Living Facility and Elmhurst
Community Learning Center. Collectively, these programs serve 140+ adults
with significant intellectual, physical and medical support needs; employ over
150 professional, medical and direct support staff and represent a significant
component of organizational operations.

Ray Graham Association is a CQL-accredited organization whose mission is
to empower people with disabilities to reach, grow and achieve.  RGA has a
rich history of providing innovative and responsive services to people with
disabilities and their families.  Among the unique qualities of the programs this
position will oversee include a designated Alzheimer’s/Dementia unit; community
partnerships that afford individuals volunteer and social connection opportunities;
a person-centered approach to service planning and delivery; and a menu-based
day program model.

The Director position has substantial impact on the overall organization.  The position
is a member of the agency Executive Team and participates in the development of
agency-wide policy, budgetary and personnel decisions.  The position is directly
responsible for the development of program and departmental procedures, program
enhancement and evolution and regulatory and budgetary compliance.

Necessary characteristics and qualifications for this position include:

1.     Visionary perspective with ability to provide leadership to a diverse group of
staff and foster a cooperative, person-centered work environment for all members
of the department;
2.     Confident and capable communicator who can both listen and respond effectively
to a broad constituency, including people with disabilities; staff at multiple levels; external
partners; families and peers throughout the organization;
3.     Demonstrated experience in leading teams to achieve successful individual,
programmatic and organizational outcomes;
4.     Previous executive-level experience within a multi-faceted community organization
serving people with intellectual/developmental disabilities that includes direct responsibility
for residential program operations

Preferred attributes include:

1.     Nursing Home Administrator’s License;
2.     Advanced degree in a human services or organizational leadership discipline; and
3.     CQL experience
