Rally in the Southland, 15500 S. Central,
Oak Forest, IL

Parents, Legislators, and Service Providers Share Harmful Impact of State Budget
Impasse

Oak Forest –  Needed services for citizens in Illinois will not survive much longer
without a state budget. Programs such as Child Care Payments, Early Intervention,
all social services including Developmental Disabilities, Mental Health, Homelessness,
Employment, are all in danger of lacking the stability to survive.

Local colleges and municipalities will also be adversely affected by the proposed
devastating cuts and the Illinois budget impasse so this rally is an opportunity for all
of us to join together to make our voices heard! We need to have all of your voices
heard to make a positive difference in Illinois!!!

Local Legislators and Community Leaders will also be present to speak to the issues
we face in the State. Most rallies of this kind are held in Springfield or downtown
Chicago. This rally will be held in our neighborhood, where the cuts will be most
directly felt.

Be there and make our voices heard that the budget crisis is hurting our families
and community.
