I was just sent this by Reta Hoskin at the Division of Developmental Disabilities.We are sending an e-mail to all providers and other advocates informing them that the Division has issued an Information Bulletin providing updates on activity involving the recent CILA rate changes. The Bulletin is available at http://www.dhs.state.il.us/page.aspx?item=62201.
FYI, the new rate sheets for persons currently enrolled in CILA under Program Code 60D were sent to the Department’s mail room yesterday and today. We anticipate they will be mailed by the end of this week. We ask that providers allow for delivery through next week.
Discussed in the bulletin is the new CILA Estimated Rate Calculator http://www.dhs.state.il.us/page.aspx?item=62140. We hope this new tool will be helpful to providers in making decisions regarding their CILA Programs.
If you hear of any problems or concerns about these materials, we would appreciate it if you would let us know right away so we can address them. If you hear of any good comments, they should be directed to George and Dan—they have both worked hard to implement these new rate changes and make the new calculator available.
Finally, as you know, since Kevin has been here, he has directed that Information Bulletins generally be issued for comment as draft for two weeks prior to finalization. Since this Bulletin does not clarify policy or provide for any new procedures, however, we are skipping that step in this case in order to get the information out as quickly as possible.
