I am back in Chicago today for another meeting on the 1115 Waiver.

This time, the Service Definitions Breakthrough Group lead by Dr. Lorrie Rickman
Jones, GOHIT, and we will be reviewing current service definitions between the
nine waivers and see if there are some commonalties and consider consolidation.
There are currently 109 different service definitions between the nine waivers and
these have been reduced to 54. The idea is once again to breakdown the silos of
the various waivers to make it easier for individuals to move between common
services. The Updated Definitions Groupings worksheet below might be useful for
you to review.

If you are going to participate remotely, I would recommend registering for the
webinar. The phone participation has been very problematic.

Handouts for the meeting include:

  1. Agenda
  2. Service Definitions PowerPoint
  3. Updated Definitions Groupings

This 1115 Waiver process is a very large undertaking with 33 work groups being
created and more than 900 individuals participating in these meetings.

Today’s Workgroup will meet at 1:00 p.m.:

Chicago: conference room at 160 N. LaSalle St., 10th Floor; Springfield: Bloom
Building, 201 South Grand Avenue, 3rd floor Large Video Conference;
