Autism Awareness Month Toolkit Now Available
Smiley FaceApril is national Autism Awareness Month and The Arc and Autism NOW are working to empower people with autism spectrum disorders (ASD) with the information and resources they need to live their lives to the fullest potential.
It’s important to dispel the myths and misinformation to promote understanding and acceptance what having an ASD really means. And that’s why The Autism NOW Center exists, to weed through the volumes of information out there and provide high-quality, vetted resources and information to people with autism and other developmental disabilities, their family, friends, colleagues, teachers, employers and others.
We have created an informational video about The Autism NOW Center and we hope you will use this media and marketing toolkit to share the video and spread the word about The Autism NOW Center during Autism Awareness Month in April. You’ll find cut-and-paste copy to use in your newsletters, emails, on your blog and social media channels and materials you can send to the media. Also, we encourage you to use the hashtag #AutismAware to generate discussion about autism awareness and acceptance during April. Please link to the video as well.
If you have any questions, please contact Shelly DeButts at 202-534-3710 or debutts@thearc.org.
