The Ligas Consent Decree is going to have major positive implications for the Illinois Disability Service System for years to come.
 

  • 3,000 individuals will move off the Illinois Waiting list in the next six years. In the next 19 months, 1,000 people will move!
  • Any of the 6,000 individuals in an ICFDD, over a six year period, will be able to transition into the most integrated community-based setting of their choice!
  • The Illinois Disability System will expand by about 30%!
  • The court has ruled that this decree must be funded regardless of what our friends in the Capitol say!
