The Arc of Illinois Announces New Survey on Dental Care for Adults with Disabilities

Effective July 1, 2012, the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Family Services will be implementing drastic reductions to dental care (also referred to as “oral health care”) for all adults enrolled in Medicaid.  Only emergency dental care will be covered. See our Dental Care Consumer Alert for more information:   https://www.thearcofil.org/arc-alert-on-medicaid-dental-services-for-adults-2.

We are now conducting a survey regarding how this reduction in services will impact adults with disabilities. We plan to share survey results with the HFS Dental Policy Review Board at their meeting next month.  Please take a few minutes to complete this survey and let us know how the dental cuts will impact you and individuals whom you serve.  Please share this survey with your networks, families, consumers and colleagues.

If you have any questions or would like more information, please call The Arc of Illinois Family to Family Health Information Center at 815-464-8247.
