The Arc of Illinois, a statewide non-profit advocacy organization for people with intellectual and other developmental disabilities, is seeking a Marketing Coordinator to work out of our Frankfort office. The Arc of Illinois is recognized as a leader for disability rights, systems change, and legislative initiatives and has become the leading advocacy organization for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Illinois. The Arc of Illinois believes all people with autism, cerebral palsy, intellectual and other developmental disabilities should live, learn, work and play in the community.
Reporting to the Director of Development, the Marketing Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating The Arc of Illinois’ events, including seminars, exhibits, speaking engagements, meetings, and the annual convention. The Marketing Coordinator will also develop marketing materials, research to identify and recruit sponsors, assist with the maintenance of the website, and be actively involved in the execution of print and media campaigns.
The qualified candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in marketing or public relations and 1-3 years of related experience preferred. Job experience in lieu of degree will be considered. Must also have excellent written and oral communication skills and be detail oriented. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products is required. The ability to attend occasional weekend and evening events and travel across the state as necessary is required to be successful in this position.
