The Arc of Illinois is in the beginning planning stages for the 2016 Annual Convention
to be held on April 20-21, 2016, at the Hilton Hotel in Lisle, IL. We are looking for
individuals or panels of individuals interested in sharing their experiences, expertise
and goals in their important work in the field of intellectual and developmental
disabilities.
This year’s theme, “Rising Above the Challenge”, will provide attendees with the latest
information on many issues from birth and early intervention to transition from high
school, employment and improving the quality of life in the community. We will focus
on how we can rise above the many challenges we are faced with today and
empowering individuals to have a Bright Future.
Please submit a proposal to be a part of this exciting event!
Participants will be a mixture of self-advocates, families, direct care staff, educators,
managers and other professionals in the field of intellectual and developmental
disabilities. Therefore, proposals on any topic of interest to any of the groups
represented are welcome, particularly a new approach or idea.
Please click here for more information on how to submit your proposal!
*Proposals should be submitted no later than November 23, 2015.
Call Janet or Sarah at 815-464-1832 if you have any questions at all on the
proposal process, convention topics or the deadline.
We look forward to your participation in our next Annual Convention. Thank you!
