I am headed to Chicago today for meetings on Supported Housing and another hearing on the
1115 Medicaid Transformation Waiver.
The Governor has hired new staff to enhance Supported Housing in Illinois. I will be meeting with
Lore Baker to discuss scattered sight Supported Living for individuals with intellectual and
developmental disabilities.
After that meeting, the Governor’s staff and consultants for the 1115 Waiver will hold a hearing for
advocates. I am looking forward to learning more specifics on reducing the waiting list and
enhancing community provider rates. More to come…
Next Tuesday, the Senate Appropriations Committee will also hold another hearing on the 1115
Waiver.
