Yesterday, Senator Steans has introduced Senate Bill 2042 that will fund community services
from Medicaid matching funds coming into the state. Phil is working with the Senator to insure
that early intervention and other community services are covered as well. The Senate is
expected to take action today.
The House is in session on Wednesday.
Legal advocates are working to add adult community services under the recent umbrella of
legal challenges to the Administration and the funding of Medicaid services. Possible ruling
this week.
We will be watching these and other important funding issues this week, stay tuned.
