I am headed to Chicago today for another meeting about managed care. We continue to be very concerned about putting community services under the umbrella of managed care in Phase 3 of the Integrated Care Pilot. We will have both Aetna and IlliniCare at the convention doing a session on Integrated Care.Tonight I am in Hoffman Estates for a seminar hosted by Rep Fred Crespo on “Navigating Due Process in Special Education.” Rep Crespo asked me to talk about “Advocating Resources for Families.” Stop by if you can.
Lastly, let me know where your House members stand on HB 4809. We want them to oppose HB 4809. We also need to know your Senators position on SB 3564 which we also want them to oppose!
Both bills would make it impossible to close a state institution.
