Terri Devine, The Arc of Illinois Board President asked me to remind you that the Search Committee is still accepting Executive Director applications until July 31st.
Yesterday the Value the Work Coalition was to meet with Secretary Dimas to update the Secretary on the DSP Retention & Recruitment Crisis but the meeting was cancelled. The DSP Wage bill having passed the House & Senate is now on the Governor’s desk for his consideration. The meeting with the Secretary will be rescheduled. I was still able to catch up on advocacy happenings by meeting with Amber Smock at Access Living. Amber is a trusted and great advocate.
Tomorrow back in Chicago to meet with Division of Rehabilitation Services Director Kris Smith on subminimum wage certificates.
