Welcome New Exec!
Hi Tony,
It is my pleasure to announce the appointment of the successor Executive Director for The Arc of the Quad Cities Area. Michael Glanz has accepted the position of Executive Director and will begin his employment on May 23, 2016. Michael comes to us from Maryland and has been employed by a dynamic and growing service provider, Melwood (https://www.melwood.org/).
Michael is an insightful leader with a dedication to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Michael has served this community in various roles from being a direct support professional to most recently being the Vice President, Community Services for Melwood. In his role at Melwood he helped to transform services to be person-centered and customer-driven while maintaining a fiscal balance.
As a skilled and effective leader Michael has the operational, advocacy, public policy and fundraising skills needed to continue to enhance and enrich the variety of support services offered by The Arc. Michael believes we should put the people we serve at the center of our services to ensure we are creating community partnerships that build upon each person’s own individual abilities, desires, and dreams.
I am excited to welcome Michael to The Arc and will work with Michel through July 12, 2016 to ensure a smooth and effective transition of leadership.
