Our Coalition on State Recruitment & Retention Crisis had a frank discussion with Secretary Dimas late yesterday. There were no outcomes from the meeting but the Secretary is aware of our concerns. Next actions will be to focus on legislators when our Wage Bill is introduced. The Coalition will meet again Wednesday to discuss next steps. Stay tuned, more to come.
Comptroller Leslie Munger is planning a news conference at the Thompson Center to update the cost of the state’s lack of a budget, including the backlog of bills and a projection on spending.
The Comptroller’s web site has been updating backlog estimates which have been hovering at about $7 billion!
