My usual day job is as a Senior Tax Consultant in the IRS Stakeholder\, Partnership\, Education and Communication division (SPEC). My responsibilities include establishing contacts and partnerships with a diverse group of community based organizations that serve low income and Limited English Proficiency taxpayers. Our division also has oversight responsibilities for the IRS Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program. I am the national president of the Hispanic Internal Revenue Employees (HIRE) organization. HIRE is an IRS Hispanic employee organization with a mission to help the professional development of Hispanic IRS employees and the community at large.
