DESCRIPTION:Services for People with Disabilities (SFPD) presents a free Community Education Workshop. \nThis is a training for people with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and/or Intellectual-Developmental Disabilities (I/DD) and their families about how to interact successfully with law enforcement. The presentation will introduce the Wallet Card Project. The purpose of the Wallet Card is to assist an individual who may have difficulties communicating or expressing themselves in an emergency situation and to assist first responders in identifying an individual’s disability-related needs to help them better understand the circumstances. Join our guest speaker Deborah Dietz the Executive Director of Disability Independence Group as she presents on this important topic. \nThis event is free and open to the public.
