DESCRIPTION:Dan and Kelly’s guide to using Speech Recognition as AT for Writing has been popular since it was released in 2014. It continues to be available for free at http://bit.ly/srguide. In this session\, they will demonstrate how the series of scaffolded steps designed to teach speech recognition skills to individual students can be adapted to whole-group instruction. Voice Typing is readily available in Google Docs\, or through built-in features on Apple\, Windows and Android devices. Why not teach all students how to use speech recognition effectively as a writing tool? \nLearning Outcomes:\n• Describe 8 scaffolded steps to teach individual students to use speech recognition.\n• Apply an adapted lesson with 4 scaffolded steps to teach a full class of students to use speech recognition.\n• Identify at least 3 strategies to implement speech recognition into the writing process. \n  \nRegister HERE
