SUMMARY:Resources for Families…The More You Know – Webinar
DESCRIPTION:The more parents and professionals know about resources\, the better they are to help their child and the families that they work with. Join us as we highlight two amazing and free resources that are available to families who have children with disabilities in the state of Illinois. Our first resource we will be highlighting is Family Matters Parent Training & Information Center. Family Matters assist parents of children with disabilities to be informed participants in the special education process. They also assist students with disabilities to understand their rights and responsibilities. The second resource we will be highlighting is The Arc of Illinois. The Arc will be discussing “What families of young children need to know about PUNS”\, the process\, what to do while waiting to be selected and consider steps to take following a PUNS selection.
