DESCRIPTION:Emergency Respite: What You Need to Know \nMay 8\, 2024  \n6:00 PM – 7:00 PM \n  \n  \nJoin FRCD as we host a webinar presented by the Illinois Coalition of Respite and learn how you can access emergency Respite \n  \nWhat is the Emergency Respite Care Program? \n  \nThe Emergency Respite Care (ERC) Program with lead agency IDHS-DDD\, coordinated \nthrough the Illinois Respite Coalition (IRC)\, is intended to help caregivers of individuals \nacross the lifespan with any disability. The IRC is able to offer funding to support \ncaregivers in a planned or unplanned emergency. In a crisis or emergency situation\, the \nERC Program stipend helps to cover the cost of supervision for the caregiver’s loved ones where no other services are available to assist them in a time of crisis. \n  \nWho is eligible? \n  \nEligible individuals are caregivers who live in Illinois who are caring for a loved one of any age with a disability and not receiving any other state or waiver funding (IDoA \nexceptions may apply). Eligibility will be confirmed during the intake process.
