DESCRIPTION:Service Dogs are long standing tools for independence. There are many ways service dogs can be trained to help people with disabilities be more independent. From Guide Dogs to Diabetic Alert Dogs\, Autism Service Dogs to Mobility Service Dogs\, each dog is individually trained to support an individuals’ independence and ability to engage and access the world around them. \n\nThis presentation will provide information to help you through the process of knowing what service dogs are\, determining if this is the right for you\, or a loved one\, and provide assistance in locating the right training program. Kristin Hartness the Executive Director at Canines for Disabled Kids will be presenting. \nThis event is free and open to the public. Continuing education credits are available for QIDP’s. \nRegistration is required.
