DESCRIPTION:This presentation will cover the disability benefits that SSA offers. It will also educate individuals on how work earnings affect the Federal and State. Work incentives or deductions that SSA offers as well as health care options available to beneficiaries who are working will be discussed. A brief overview of the Ticket To Work program and how to get referred to WIPA services will be provided. \nPresenter: Ms. Britney Godwin\, IATP-WIPA Program Director\nBritney currently serves as the Program Director and Community Work Incentive Coordinator (CWIC) for the Work Incentives Planning and Assistance program provided by the Social Security Administration through IATP. The WIPA Program serves individuals currently receiving Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and/or Title II benefits\, and Britney has made numerous presentations over the years on this subject. \nPrior to becoming a Program Director and CWIC\, Britney worked in various positions in the mental health field. Britney has also served as an Employment Specialist for the IPS program through the Division of Rehabilitation Services.
