DESCRIPTION:Natural Ties is a student-run organization with the goal of providing a safe space for Stritch medical students\, faculty\, and staff to interact with adult members of the Maywood and surrounding communities living with intellectual and developmental disabilities. \nThe audience will learn:\nThe history of Natural Ties\nWho the members are and how to get involved\nFuture plans for the SSOM chapter and beyond \nPresented by Emily Carnes \nEmily is currently a third year medical student at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine. She is originally from Arlington Heights\, IL (Buffalo Grove High School)\, and attended Washington University in St. Louis where she received her Bachelor’s degree before matriculating into medical school at Stritch.
