DESCRIPTION:Free virtual sign language classes running from January through March \nThe CHS (Chicago Hearing Society) is offering free Family Sign Language classes. The virtual classes will run from January through March. \nClasses are taught by instructors who are deaf and communicate using American Sign Language (ASL) and written English (or Spanish). The classes will use no audio. \nThese classes are free to family members of children from birth through high school who are deaf\, deafblind or hard of hearing. Extended family members are welcome. \nYou do not have to be an Illinois resident to participate. \nThere are two option levels for classes offered in English: \n\nFamily Beginners (English) is on Mondays\, Jan. 23 to Feb. 27\, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. This class is for individuals new to sign language or who need more practice with vocabulary and putting together simple sentences.\n\nRegister for the Family Beginners class.\n\n\n\n\nFamily Beyond Beginners is on Thursdays\, Jan. 26 to March 2\, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. This level is for individuals who know some sign language and would like to practice phrases and sentences.\n\nRegister for the Family Beyond Beginners class.\n\n\n\nA class is also available for Spanish speakers/ Clase de español familiar. \n\nThe Spanish Family Sign Language Class is on Saturdays\, Jan. 28 to March 4\, from 10 to 11:30 a.m.\n\nRegister for the sign language class in Spanish.\n\n\n\nIf you have questions about these classes\, please email Maddie at CHSYouth@anixter.org\, VP (773) 904-0143 or call (773) 248-9121\, ext. 257.

Voice Typing is readily available in Google Docs\, or through built-in features on Apple\, Windows and Android devices.
