SUMMARY:Share this The 2nd Annual Catch- 22 Resource Venue
DESCRIPTION:The purpose of this resource fair is to provide various essential community resources from across the state of Illinois that are specific to adults with intellectual\, developmental\, & mental health disabilities in one setting\,  since many resources become minimal for adults with disabilities starting at age 18 & when special education entitlements end at age 22.  Our overall goal is to equip adults with disabilities\, their caregivers & loved ones\, & professionals with resources that enable them to take a proactive approach &/or make informed decisions before & after aging out of the special education system. Adults with disabilities & parents\, guardians\, caregivers\, family\, & friends of adults with disabilities are highly encouraged to attend. Parents & guardians of individuals with disabilities who are middle or high school age are also encouraged to attend to prepare for transitioning & aging out of the special education system. Our sponsors for this event are 19th Ward Alderman Matt O’Shea’s office\, Al’s Cookie Mixx\, The Arc of IL\, & Sensory Meetup.
