SUMMARY:The Illinois Life Span Program of The Arc of Illinois Lunchtime Webinar - The Community & Residential Services Authority and How They Can Help!
DESCRIPTION:Please register for The Illinois Life Span Program of The Arc of Illinois Lunchtime Webinar – Community & Residential Services Authority on Sep 11\, 2018 12:00 PM CDT at: \nhttps://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/3313964721511243779 \nDue to the complexity of Illinois’ human service system restrictions\, children with severe emotional disabilities are often at risk of being under-served or ignored. The Community and Residential Services Authority (CRSA) helps Illinois families and agencies when their youth with mental health needs are denied access to a recommended plan of care. CRSA is dedicated to aiding the best possible outcomes for at-risk children while at the same time assisting the Illinois legislature in creating responsible legislation to address gaps in the children’s social services systems. \nIllinois is the only state in the nation whose legislature had the foresight to create an agency like CRSA. For nearly 31 years\, CRSA has helped thousands of Illinois families with children who have emotional and behavioral issues successfully address the complex service challenges facing them. \nPresenter – Debbi Smith. Debbi is the Executive Director of the Community and Residential Services Authority. She has 30 years of experience working with children and adults that have mental illnesses. She holds a Master of Science in Education and Counseling. She is also a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor. \nThere will be no CEU’s provided for the webinar.  \nAfter registering\, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar. \nBrought to you by GoToWebinar®\nWebinars Made Easy®

He has a distinguished career in healthcare administration within the state of Illinois and in the private healthcare industry.\n• Molly Hofmann\, APRN\, MSN\, PCNS-BC\, Associate Director of Care Coordination oversees the administration for the development and implementation of all Care Coordination operations\, policies\, and procedures for the Core and Home Care Programs.\n• Darcy Contri\, RN\, BSN\, MPH\, Title V Program Transition Specialist provides support for transition age youth and their families since 1998. \nThe University of Illinois at Chicago’s Division of Specialized Care for Children (DSCC) is a statewide program that serves children and youth with special healthcare needs and their families. DSCC staff help families find the specialty care and resources they need for their child to reach their full potential. We draw on the relationships and expertise our staff has built since 1937 to address a child’s medical\, social\, behavioral\, educational and financial needs. We do this through a process called care coordination\, which aims to meet the needs of the child and family as a whole. This support helps families feel more confident and organized in their child’s care and become well-prepared for the transition to adulthood. \nOur care coordination is free for all children who have eligible medical conditions\, regardless of their family’s income level. This presentation will discuss DSCC’s eligibility requirements and examples of how our care coordination can benefit families. \nAfter registering\, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar. \nBrought to you by GoToWebinar®\nWebinars Made Easy®
