Emily was a Skadden fellow at Equip for Equality with a project focused on addressing transition issues for students with disabilities. Emily has a background in education and special education advocacy. She has advocated for students with disabilities in Virginia\, Pennsylvania\, and Illinois. He serves as a self-advocate and champion for advancing issues related to the disability community. At the age of four\, Curtis was diagnosed with Autism and was the first student with Autism to enroll in the Chicago Public Schools system in January of 1984 when they created the Autistic program for Curtis and other students. After graduating from Chicago Public Schools system in 1996\, Curtis attended college for a span of ten years. He currently serves on the Illinois Council on Developmental Disabilities\, is a member of Access Living’s Racial Justice Advanced Your Leadership Power (AYLP) and other advocacy organizations at Access Living that focus on Housing and Home Services. Curtis is a Board Member of the Chicagoland Autism Connection (CAC) and Vice President of a self-advocacy organization called CAC Trailblazers. He is a 2020 graduate of the Illinois Partners in Policymaking Training. \nPhil Milsk\, since 1995 to present day\, has been working for the Law Offices of Phil Milsk located out of New Lenox\, IL. This is a solo practice with focus on legislation\, public policy\, government relations\, and educational advocacy for children. Phil also has experience working as a Governmental Relations Consultant by which he provided representation of several associations with a focus on rights of persons with disabilities\, education\, and healthcare access. Currently\, Phil is an active member on the Illinois State Bar Association\, Standing Committee on Disability Law\, Newsletter Editor of Education Law Section Council Delivery of Legal Services and the State Employment and Economic Opportunities for Persons with Disabilities Task Force. Phil attended J.D. DePaul University College of Law and received his B.A. from the University of Illinois-Chicago.
