Vanessa will present on her Equal Justice Works project (website Vanessa Aceves – Equal Justice Works)\, which focuses on communication devices for students with disabilities. Her presentation will (1) define alternative and augmentative communication (“AAC”)\, (2) explain the law that protects access to AAC in school\, and (3) provide case examples demonstrating the positive impact that AAC can provide for students with limited spoken communication skills.
