During his 29 year tenure at CAU\, Juan has worked very closely and diligently with many service providers and families of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Juan has also received extensive training in autism in the states of Indiana and Illinois. Juan continues to work closely with the Illinois Department of Human Services – Division of Developmental Disabilities (IDHS-DDD)\, Illinois Department of Rehabilitation Services (DRS) and several local school districts\, residential and vocational providers in the Chicago/Metro area for the purpose of advocating and securing necessary supports and services for families and individuals with special needs. His areas of expertise include advocacy\, crisis case management and transition planning for families and individuals with autism and behavioral challenges transitioning from special education into adult services.
