Friedman Place is a non-profit Supportive Living community for blind and visually impaired
adults in Chicago, regulated by the Illinois Supportive Living Program. Located on the
northwest side of Chicago and accessible to its many cultural, social, and educational
opportunities, Friedman Place encourages residents’ self-determination, independence and
interaction with the internal and external community. It is not just a residence but a vibrant
community in which people with impaired vision feel safe and secure, and experience
significant opportunity for growth and development.
