Thanks to all who have advocated to Illinois Senators and beyond.  Today is the day that the Senate is expected to vote on a motion to proceed (MTP) to debate on at least one if not more healthcare repeal and replace bills.  It is still not clear what will be voted on but Senator McCain is expected back to vote, so the Republican Senators can lose two up to two Senators.  Right now, Senator Collins is the only Republican Senator who has said she will vote no on a motion to proceed on all of these bills.

Tomorrow is the anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act.  We need to keep up the fight!
Thanks to APSE and Amber Smock from Access Living for this shared information:

As of 8:30 this morning, the vote is scheduled for approximately 2:15 this afternoon. We need thousands and thousands of people to call, write, and visit their Senators’ offices.

If the motion passes today, there will likely be a vote on a bill later in the week. NOW is the time to stop this. Now is the time to marshal all of your friends, relatives, neighbors, and community. Now is the time to make your voices heard. Thank you.

What You Can Do
