As you might have seen, the House Republicans are calling the AHCA today with a new amendment that adds an additional $8 billion for high risk pools and has gotten a couple of of moderates on board as a result. The bill still would cut more than $800 billion in Medicaid, which would mean huge cuts to services for people with disabilities.
We need your help to call the Illinois delegation. Although it is critical to call all representatives, we especially want to call (or email or tweet to) the following:
|District||Name||Direct Phone||As of yesterday|
|IL-06||Rep. Peter Roskam||R||202-225-4561||@PeterRoskam ||Voted yes in Committee, Undecided|
|IL-12||Rep. Mike Bost||R||202-225-5661||@RepBost||No Stance|
|IL-14||Rep. Randy Hultgren||R||202-225-2976||@RepHultgren||Leaning No|
|IL-16||Rep. Adam Kinzinger||R||202-225-3635||@RepKinzinger||Leaning Yes|
- Call your member of Congress at 1-866-877-3303 and demand that they publicly oppose the American Health Care Act.
- Call Gov. Rauner at 312-814-2121 and demand that he publicly oppose the American Health Care Act, which will cost Illinois billions of dollars in Medicaid funding and thousands of jobs.
- Forward this immediately to 10 friends and family members in Illinois, especially if they live outside of Chicago. You can also share these steps on social media using #ilsaveaca
Thanks for your advocacy!
