I am pleased and proud to report to you that I have appointed Deb Fornoff as the new
Director for Illinois Life Span, effective November 1st.
Deb has been with Illinois Life Span for nearly 10 years as a Resource Specialist and Database Manager. Deb has an MS in Education, Counselor Education, and her experience
includes working for the Family to Family Health Information Center, Family Support Network,
and as a Parent Liaison in Early Intervention. Deb currently serves on the Board of Directors
for Family Matters Parent Training and Information Center and has served on the Education
Committee and Board for the Heart of Illinois Down Syndrome Association. Deb was appointed
to the Illinois State Advisory Council on the Education of Children with Disabilities for ISBE and
served a 6 year term, ending in June 2013.

Deb and her husband, Steve, live in Washington with their sons, Danny and Bradley.
Bradley, a 23 year old with a great sense of humor, an irrational love of the Chicago Cubs,
and Down syndrome is the inspiration for Deb’s advocacy efforts and career.
