“My 13-year-old, Thomas, has had an IEP throughout his school years. He entered the early intervention system when he was two and transitioned to a public preschool in a blended class including students with and without disabilities. Thomas has autism and his IEP helps him to get all of his educational needs met at school. He has had a spectacular team of special educators, instructional aides, school psychologists, and social workers to help him along the way. Thomas’s growth over these years in public education have been tremendous. In Kindergarten, he spent much of his time in a self-contained classroom. As a 7th grader, he is doing grade-level work with some extra support during a “Resource” period with a special education teacher. Without his IEP and significant support, Thomas wouldn’t be where he is today. He loves his friends at school, reading, and being part of the middle school performing arts club. I will forever be grateful for the team of public school professionals who have helped to make this possible for him.”

“Educational support has helped our son Gesari become an independent teenager. All the aids throughout his education have helped him emotionally, socially and physically. Education has played a key role in his continued life success and happiness. He wants to do what all the other children do.”
