Bereavement Experiences of Individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities -Services for People with Disabilities (SFPD)

August 24, 2020 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

FREE virtual workshop.

Though more research is still needed to gain a robust understanding of the full grief experience of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, this presentation, led by Emily Tegenkamp, LCSW, will outline some of the unique needs and grief responses of individuals with I/DD, using both research and case studies from grief therapy clients. This discussion should be appropriate for professionals and families alike, who are interested in gaining a deeper understanding of how to support a client or loved one who is currently grieving or to become prepared for the future. This event is free and open to the public. Continuing education credits are available for QIDP’s.
