Family-to-Family Fall Virtual Symposium: Uniting Healthcare, Advocacy, and Disability
The Family-to-Family Health Information Center at The Arc of Illinois is excited to host our 2026 symposium, Uniting Healthcare, Advocacy, and Disability. This one-day conference focuses on the intersection between healthcare, advocacy, and disability to provide vital information for families and providers of people with disabilities. This year’s symposium includes presentations on Emergency Preparedness, Related Services in the School System, ABA Therapy, Disability Services and Programs, and Medicaid Waiver Appeals and Insurance Denials. We will also present some examples of family-led advocacy.
This symposium is appropriate for family members, self-advocates, and professionals who care for people with any type of disability or chronic medical condition. While some of the presentations focus on children from birth to 22, much of the information is applicable to all ages and stages.
CEUs will be provided for professionals who register in advance.
