IATP’s Open House
Our mission is to provide Illinoisans of all ages with disabilities and health conditions greater access to assistive technology devices and services so that they may enhance their independence and participation in all aspects of life. To achieve this, we offer numerous assistive technology programs and services to learn about and try AT devices. The Open House is an event meant to educate people across Illinois about the different services offered. It is also a chance to explore IATP’s Demonstration Center.
Assistive Technology Month
October 2026 has been proclaimed by Governor Pritzker as Assistive Technology Month in Illinois. To celebrate, we are hosting this event. Marking October as Assistive Technology Month encourages all residents to become aware of the many ways in which assistive technologies contribute to the health, independence, and happiness of our friends, neighbors, family members, and co-workers with disabilities.
Durable Medical Equipment Drive
Have gently used durable medical equipment (DME) not being used? Donate it to us! During the Open House Event, IATP is hosting a DME drive. Bring your gently used DME to IATP and come learn more about our programs.
The donations will increase IATP’s Reuse Program inventory, therefore helping more individuals throughout the community. Also, the DME drive promotes sustainability by giving valuable equipment a second life. Below is a list of accepted items to donate. If you are unsure if your equipment can be donated, call 217-522-7985 and ask to speak to the Reuse Program.

Resource Fair
