Speaker: William Bogdan, Disability Liaison Illinois Secretary of State
Come and Learn about some of the programs and services offered by the Illinois Secretary of State’s Office.
William Bogdan serves as the disability liaison to Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White, and is responsible for the coordination, development, and implementation of programs and services for persons with disabilities for the office. He also works on legislative issues pertaining to persons with disabilities, and addresses accessibility concerns, and issues impacting the issuance of driver’s licenses to persons with disabilities who use adaptive equipment.
Bill has been appointed as Chair of the Illinois Council on Developmental Disabilities by Illinois Governor JB Pritzker. The Illinois Council on Developmental Disabilities works on a wide range of programs to help improve the opportunities people with intellectual and developmental disabilities are afforded including education, employment, transportation, community living, and health care. Just as importantly, ICDD works to build the capabilities of individuals, families and communities, enabling each to become more self-sufficient through the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act (the DD Act).
