ILS Lunchtime Webinar: Anti-Bullying Prevention Awareness

Learn about bullying, effects, prevention, and resources.  Bullying affects ALL youth including . . .

  • Those who witness bullying.

Participants will leave with resources and information to participate in Bully Prevention in their own communities.

Lori Davie has been employed by Easterseals for nearly 20 years and has been involved in many roles during employment.  Lori received her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Healthcare Administration and Child Development from Ashford University.  She is on the CME/QI Committee as a parent representative for Illinois Chapter of American Academy of Pediatrics (ICAAP). Lori is a certified PEER provider for the School Aged and Young Adult Curriculums.

Lori has both professional and personal expertise in understanding and working with families of children with special needs.  Lori’s primary role is to synchronize the clinical services, trainings and community outreach, and coach parents of children diagnosed with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD) on a wide range of topics including coordinating relationships with providers.  She is also responsible for managing the budget of the program.  In addition to her primary responsibility in supporting The Autism Program at Easterseals, Lori  has volunteered to review  grants for Autism Speaks.

Lori started the community outreach for bully prevention in partnership with the Rockford IceHogs (affiliate team to the Chicago Blackhawks) in 2015.  The partnership and outreach began when a large number of individuals with autism spectrum disorder who bravely shared their experiences with bullying.   The research, outreach, and prevention is a daily passion and the focus is always to put an end to bullying.
