Sibshop Facilitator Training for Illinois Residents Presented by The Sibling Support Project
Join us to learn about the unique concerns and opportunities of siblings of individuals with disabilities, and how to support them through Sibshops!
Sibshops are fun, supportive events for siblings, the family members who share the longest-lasting relationship with a person who has a disability. Sibshops provide children with opportunities to obtain peer support and make connections, while sharing the delights and challenges faced by having a sibling with disabilities.
Sibshop Facilitators are often professionals and parents, educators, service providers, adult siblings…and anyone who would like to support the lives of sibs. Participants attending the training will learn about how to lead a Sibshop, and experience one firsthand!
